Composed, inspired by a watercolor painting by Adelaide artist Esmond George. This painting, hung near Hyde's favorite Blüthner piano, recalled the foothills paths of Adelaide where he walked during wartime. The composition incorporates soundscapes such as the sound of water and birdsong, which the painting could not depict. It has been recorded by Walter Gieseking.
