A collection of 24 short pieces, each approximately 2 minutes in duration, composed between 2000 and 2009. The complete collection was premiered by Kazue Nakamura at Mon-Naka Tenjo Hall in 2009. It is based on the pitch-interval technique. For odd-numbered pieces, the fundamental pitches are the first and second notes of the tone row of the first piece; for even-numbered pieces, they are the first and second notes of the tone row of the second piece, and so forth. Furthermore, the interval between the first and second notes of the tone row in odd-numbered pieces expands (e.g., minor second, major second), while in even-numbered pieces, it contracts (e.g., major seventh, minor seventh). (In pieces No. 11 to No. 14, this expansion/contraction does not occur; instead, the interval between the sixth and seventh notes is fixed at an augmented fourth). The titles of odd-numbered pieces begin in alphabetical order (ABC...), while those of even-numbered pieces are in reverse alphabetical order (ZYX...). Atonal chords are used in odd-numbered pieces, and modal chords in even-numbered pieces. Although each piece is marked with a tempo of approximately quarter note = 60, the meter and texture change freely within a single piece. While rapid repetitions, which were also central to Allotropy, appear throughout, the originality of ideas remains vibrant, as seen in Piece No. 14, 'Transition,' which features repeated ritardandos to half speed, and Piece No. 23, 'Legend,' which sequentially quotes chords from Stockhausen's Klavierstück No. 1 to No. 17. It was published by Sonic Arts.

This suite comprises 24 pieces composed between 2000 and 2009. Each piece is approximately two minutes in duration. The complete suite was premiered in 2009 by Kazue Nakamura at Monnaka Tenjo Hall. Yori-Aki Matsudaira employed a specific pitch interval technique throughout this work. In the odd-numbered pieces, the fundamental pitches are derived from the first, second, and subsequent notes of the tone row established in the first piece. Conversely, in the even-numbered pieces, the fundamental pitches are derived from the first, second, and subsequent notes of the tone row established in the second piece. Furthermore, the interval between the first and second notes of the tone row progresses through minor second, major second, and so forth in the odd-numbered pieces. In contrast, for the even-numbered pieces, this interval is a major seventh, minor seventh, and so on. (It is noteworthy that from the 11th to the 14th piece, the interval between the sixth and seventh tones consistently remains an augmented fourth.) The titles of the odd-numbered pieces commence with letters such as A, B, C, while those of the even-numbered pieces begin with X, Y, Z, and so forth. It should also be noted that atonal chords are employed in the odd-numbered pieces, whereas modal chords characterize the even-numbered pieces. Although the approximate tempo is 60 beats per quarter note, the meter and texture exhibit free variation within each piece. While repetitive note patterns frequently occur, as exemplified in 'Allotropy,' pieces such as the 14th, 'Transition' (where the tempo repetitively halves), or the 23rd, 'Legend' (which incorporates citations from Stockhausen’s Klavierstück I-XVII), demonstrate Matsudaira’s undiminished creative vitality. The score was published by Sonic Arts.
