FTISLAND, a five-member band, was formed in South Korea in 2007 while its members were still high school students. They swept various rookie awards in South Korea, including the Golden Disc New Artist Award, and made their major debut in Japan in May 2010. 'Itsuka' is an insert song for the TBS/MBS drama 'Muscle Girl!' starring vocalist Lee Hong-gi, and it is a ballad characterized by Lee Hong-gi's powerful vocals and an energetic sound.
Released in May 2011, their major first album, 'FIVE TREASURE ISLAND,' was the first debut album by an overseas male artist to reach number one on the Oricon charts upon its release, and the band has continued to make significant strides since. More recently, their 7th major single, 'HIT THE SANDS,' chosen as the opening theme for Leiji Matsumoto's anime 'Ozma,' commemorating WOWOW's 20th anniversary, has been distributed via the internet in over 50 countries.
