A work by German composer Hermann Necke (1850-1912). In Japan, it is famous as background music for sports festivals. It borrows a melody that appears in the latter part of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. The title of this work, Csikos Post, is generally translated into Japanese as "Yubin Basha" (postal carriage). The hurried figures in the left hand and the leaps in the right hand evoke the sound of galloping horse hooves and a swaying carriage.
