This piece maintains a consistent tempo throughout, without any fluctuation or change, performed almost like a metronome until the very end. Even the final measure does not slow down in the slightest. This depicts instruments that maintain a constant rhythm, such as festival drums. The key lies in how to introduce variation within this unvarying tempo. Firstly, strictly adhere to the written dynamic markings. The harmonic progression is also extremely ethnic and the music is primarily pentatonic, so it is important to play percussively, without concern for chord resolutions. Crisp articulation is crucial. Staccatos should not be heavy. Clearly differentiate between legato and staccato. Pay attention to the timing of rests. Be careful not to rush into the next note without taking sufficient time for the rest. Specifically, observe rests accurately, such as the second beat of measure 29. Furthermore, in the final measure (m. 30), even after playing the chord on the first beat, there are rests for beats 2-4. During this period, the piece is not yet over. Keep your hands poised above the keyboard without lowering them until you have accurately counted three beats of rest. Lower your hands after counting to four.
