The ascending motif is similar to that in No. 10, "The Happy Farmer." This piece fills one of the four corners of the frontispiece as a symbol of summer. It depicts a scene where three children (a boy and two girls) are engaged in harvesting, and the boy stops his work upon discovering a beautifully bloomed poppy among the grains.
