The piece is divided into two parts, the first and second halves, but it should actually be considered as three: D minor (measures 1-8), F major (measures 9-16), and D minor (measures 17-25).
At the beginning, the melody line in D minor ascends until measure 4, reaching B, the highest note of this Air, in measure 5. Since the ascent continues up to that point, build the tension towards B, and once B is reached, gradually let it subside, concluding in measure 8.
The F major section should be played softly and gently. In measure 17, change the atmosphere where B becomes natural. Although the latter half does not reach the highest note B, it reaches A in measure 20, so consider this the peak point.
Although an Air is a song, consider it to have song-like elements, treat the soprano melody line as the vocal part, and express the piece emotionally as a whole.
