The piece demands a light performance characterized by a 6/8 rhythm. It is crucial to maintain a precise sense of meter, ensuring both the evenness of the left hand's articulation and the accuracy of the right hand's timing.

Performance Notes
This etude is strongly instrumental in character. It is important to vary the tone according to the modulating keys. The general direction of this etude is relatively easy to grasp, so I will not elaborate on it.
The aim is to play the entire piece quickly and lightly. To achieve this, crisp staccatos and smooth, quiet left-hand sixteenth notes are crucial. The following discussion is based on these premises.
Proceed from measure 1 to measure 8 accurately with a light rhythm, without disturbing the tempo. However, two changes occur at measure 9:
- One is the key change: it modulates to G major.
- The other is the introduction of a lyrical element; this lyrical line continues from measure 9 to the first right-hand note, G, in measure 12 (this is the only lyrical section in this etude).
For this section, you may use the pedal, sustain the bass, and apply a slight rubato. It is desirable to play this G major section with a different timbre.
From measure 13, the key changes to C minor. Let's differentiate the atmosphere from the opening C major.
In this case, the character and psychological state are rather strong. The entire B section may be played with an intense mood.
