It is an A-B-A form miniature piece, beginning in A-flat major. It is a charming minuet, repeating a single motif. From measures 6 to 8, it modulates to E-flat major. It is a graceful and cheerful dance. An elegant melody unfolds.
From measures 9 to 16, it becomes the B section. After resolving from the dominant chord to the tonic chord of A-flat major, it modulates to F minor from measures 11 to 12. From measure 13, it modulates back to A-flat major and concludes with a half cadence.
From measure 17, the recapitulation begins. It concludes with an orthodox chord progression. It is a fine piece full of lightness.
