This is a message from the composer: "Waves of the right hand and waves of the left hand. This is a story of two waves, differing in size and expression. Please play with a 2/2 time feel." While the left hand features long slurs spanning four measures, the right hand has slurs per measure followed by slurs over two measures, creating smaller wave undulations than the left hand. From the mf in measure 6, the waves of the right and left hands respond to each other in succession: "So-Mi," "La-Fa," "La-Re," "D-flat-La." From measure 10 in the middle section, the tonality, which was C major, modulates to A-flat major. The left hand continues to create gentle waves with long slurs, but the right hand's units become even shorter than at the beginning, as if small waves are making splashing sounds. Listen carefully to the sustained length of the notes with tenuto, and after that, always be conscious of the key release to confirm the break in the sound before entering the next small wave. Let's accurately depict the appearance of the waves through precise articulation.
