Articulation

The main theme of this piece, the right-hand melody line in measures 1-2, involves playing the same note when moving from beat 1 to beat 2, and from beat 3 to beat 4 within measure 1. Playing repeated notes legato is very difficult and sometimes requires the pedal. However, children who cannot yet use the pedal will inevitably create breaks.

Therefore, in measure 1, the C on beat 1 should be staccato. From beat 2 to beat 3, connect C to B legato, and the destination B should be staccato. The B on beat 4 should be connected legato to the A on beat 1 of the next measure. Apply similarly thereafter.

Shaping

The melody line in measures 1-2 is fundamentally C-C-B-B-A. Since it descends from C → B → A, a diminuendo is appropriate.

Peak Point

Measure 6 is the measure that reaches the peak.

Form

It is composed of three phrases: measures 1-2, measures 3-4, and measures 5-8. Since measures 1-2 and 3-4 are identical, some variation should be introduced.
