Fugue

This fugue, like the prelude, is in duple meter. The author plays this faster than the prelude, but the tempo is at the performer's discretion. F minor, even considering only Bach's works, is a very serious key; however, this fugue, despite being in a minor key, contains optimistic elements. Performers should identify the points of highest tension (there are several) and skillfully build the journey leading up to and away from them.
