There are several important points. First, regarding timing, children who cannot count beats need to grasp triple meter (3/4 time) first. Beyond simply playing with a metronome, they should develop the habit of feeling the first beat with their fingers to thoroughly master triple meter.
Furthermore, if one becomes too conscious of the first beat, there is a tendency to place an accent on it. However, for example, in measures 17-19, the accent should rather fall on the third beat, and the first beat should be played lightly and cut short.
Lightness is crucial in this piece. Therefore, ensure that staccatos are not heavy, and adhere strictly to the articulations as written in the score.
In measures 5-8, the melody line is in the left hand. The interjections in the right hand should be thought of as a cat's meow. However, be careful not to let them become louder than the melody line. The comma after the fermata in measure 12 signifies creating silence for just a moment. After cutting off the sound, pause for about one second before proceeding.
