Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music, Department of Composition, and completed the Master's program in Composition at the same university's Graduate School of Music. Studied composition under Makoto Sato, Hirofumi Yamaguchi, Thomas Meyer-F, and Norio Fukushi, and piano under Yukiko Takeyama. Selected for the 23rd JSCM Award for Composers. Received the Grand Prize in the composition division of the 14th Japan Art Song Competition, and the Zen-On Music Company Ltd. Award. Received the New Work Assignment Award at the 37th PTNA Piano Competition. A regular member of the Japan Society for Contemporary Music (JSCM).
