A Polish female composer. Born in Warsaw. Although she received no formal musical training, her 'A Maiden's Prayer,' published in Warsaw in 1856, gained popularity. When this short piece was released as a supplement to a Parisian music magazine in 1859, it was published by over 80 publishers in France, Germany, Italy, England, Australia, and America, and became widely known through various arrangements. She composed over 30 salon pieces, but only 'A Maiden's Prayer' is known today. She died in Warsaw in 1861.
