Graduated from Osaka Gakugei University (now Osaka Kyoiku University). From his mid-20s, when contemporary music was becoming increasingly active in the Kansai region, he participated as a producer in events such as "Evening of Japanese and German Contemporary Music" and "Waves of the Present - Contemporary Music Festival." Through exposure to experimental works from both Japan and abroad, he established his own compositional style. From 1988, he presided over the "Kota Contemporary Music Series," and from 1992, he produced "Kobe - Exhibition of Music." Collaborating with musicians of his generation, he dedicated his efforts to promoting contemporary music. While many of his compositions are chamber music, his musical characteristics are particularly evident in the "Double Talk" series for two instruments, which showcases sparkling, intricate sonic beauty and a performative quality that draws in the audience. He has received numerous awards, including 2nd prize at the Gustav Mahler International Composition Competition, 1st prize at the Udine City International Composition Competition, and 1st prize at the Debussy Trio International Composition Competition.
