A Russian pianist born in Novosibirsk, Russia, in 1985, he is one of the few pianists to have received instruction from both Tatiana Zelykhman and Vladimir Tropp, direct disciples of Heinrich Neuhaus, the progenitor of Russian pianism. He was the winner of the 2008 Sydney International Piano Competition.
He began attending the Kemerovo Music School at the age of six. In 1996, he moved to Moscow and transferred to the prestigious Gnessin Special Music School. He received emotionally rich instruction from the renowned Professor Tatiana Zelykhman until his graduation from the Gnessin Academy of Music. During his postgraduate studies, he studied under the world-renowned pianist Vladimir Tropp.
He then moved to Germany and studied under Tibor Szász at the Freiburg University of Music. In 2008, he won the 9th Sydney International Piano Competition, sweeping six awards including the Audience Prize. Following this victory, he performed in 27 concerts across Australia, and the following year, held 14 concerts with the Australian String Quartet. Since then, he has continued his performance activities not only in Russia but also in Italy, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, China, and other countries.
He has performed with orchestras such as the Prague Philharmonic, Belgrade Philharmonic, Moscow Philharmonic, Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lyon, Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He has collaborated with conductors including Vladimir Spivakov, Tugan Sokhiev, Dmitry Liss, Nicholas Milton, Lawrence Foster, and Kirill Petrenko. He has also performed at numerous music festivals, including the Kissingen Summer Festival and the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg. Currently, a CD of Tchaikovsky's 18 Pieces, Op. 72, has been released by NAXOS.
