Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from the Department of Musicology, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, and completed the Master's Program in Musicology, Department of Music Culture, Graduate School of Music at the same university. Currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Musicology, Graduate School of Music at the same university. Authored papers including "Problems of the Japanese Language in Kosaku Yamada's Songs" (2011) and "A Study of Kosaku Yamada's Opera-Ballet Ayame (1931) – For a Reconsideration of His Musical Activities in the 1920s and 1930s" (2014), as well as program notes for "Sogakudo Uta Series 2015: 50th Anniversary of Kosaku Yamada's Death," organized by the Faculty of Music and the Performing Arts Center, Tokyo University of the Arts. Part-time lecturer at Yokohama Futaba Junior and Senior High School. Member of the Musicological Society of Japan and the Society for Asian Music.
