Born in Niigata Prefecture. Graduated from Musashino Academia Musicae.
- 1996: Finalist, 65th Japan Music Competition (Orchestral Works)
- 1997: Third Prize, 66th Japan Music Competition (Chamber Music Works)
- 1998: First Prize, 3rd Tokyo International Chamber Music Composition Competition
- 1999: Finalist, 21st Award for Contemporary Japanese Orchestral Music Composition, organized by the Japan Symphony Foundation
- 2000: Finalist, 69th Japan Music Competition (Orchestral Works); Recipient, 16th Nagoya Cultural Promotion Award
- 2003: Recipient, 19th Nagoya Cultural Promotion Award
In May 2002, an orchestral work received its international premiere at the opening concert of the 22nd Asian Contemporary Music Festival in Korea (ACL Seoul), organized by the ACL (Asian Composers League).
Studied under Toru Tamura, Tsuneya Tanabe, Masatsugu Yamazaki, and Takehito Shimazu.
Member of the Japan Federation of Composers.
Since 1998, as the representative of the composer group "Group NEXT," has held an annual exhibition of works in June.
