Born in Minamiue-cho, Kishiwada City. While attending Jonai Elementary School, she won 3rd prize at the 32nd All Japan Student Music Competition, Western Japan Division, and subsequently 2nd prize at the 34th edition of the same competition, Western Japan Division. She graduated from Osaka Prefectural Kishiwada High School and Tokyo University of the Arts. She then moved to the United States and completed her master's degree at the Indiana University Graduate School. During her time in the U.S., she participated in the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine with a full scholarship. Furthermore, at the Indiana University Graduate School, she was awarded the Kuttner Scholarship upon admission and received recognition as an Honor Student upon graduation. Currently, she serves as a Professor in the Department of Music at Doshisha Women's University, as well as a jury member for the All Japan Student Music Competition and a selection committee member for the Aoyama Music Award of the Aoyama Foundation (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation).
