K. 99 C minor 3/4 Allegro

The work is characterized by dissonant sonorities such as augmented second progressions, chromatic passages, and ninth chords. The following unique techniques are noteworthy in its formal structure. While measure 74 in the latter half corresponds to measure 37 in the first half, the subsequent measure does not continue the phrase but rather enters into a sequence utilizing material from measure 13 onwards. This sequence is also interrupted by a descending leap in the left hand at measure 80, followed immediately by a rest. Only then does the remainder of the phrase, which should have followed measure 74 (i.e., from measure 38 onwards in the first half), finally return.
