Beginning with a brilliant fanfare, and passing through a middle section that seems to recall the sorrow of days gone by, the dynamic piano rushes towards a bright future, climbing to a climax filled with joy. This piece, which demands various advanced playing techniques along with its unique Antan Ch'andan rhythm, is one of Korea's widely known and beloved representative piano works (Original title: "Fantasy").

The title alone would likely evoke images of Beethoven's famous work. The composer, Cho Gil-seok (1926-1996), was a composer known to a select few, having left behind numerous piano works. The piece commences with a brilliant fanfare, and from measure 17, it sings expressively in changing meters, as if being hummed. From measure 54, it progresses lightly with the Antan Chandan rhythm, gradually building towards a climax. ※This commentary is based on the notes from Piano Works Based on Korean Melodies (Doremi Publishing, edited by Yang Seong-hwa).
