The second movement of the 17th Suite from Book 3 of the Pièces de clavecin.

 In E minor. Binary form (Part 1: measures 1-19, Part 2: measures 20-48). At the beginning of Part 1, the left hand follows the melody in the right hand one beat later. As seen in measure 1, ornaments frequently appear on the downbeat of the first beat. From measure 12, it modulates to the relative major, G major, and the left hand changes to octave figures. The first half of Part 2 continues with intricate passages of sixteenth notes in both the right and left hands. From measure 37, it returns to E minor, and from measure 41, it becomes a recapitulation of the material from measure 12 onwards.
