This four-hand piano duet is easily enjoyable for learners to play together. It consists of six short pieces. Based on classical music, it incorporates modern harmonies, resulting in a sophisticated composition. Even with a small number of notes, the sound is rich, and the musical ideas are approachable. It can be approached from the level of Burgmüller.
Each piece features ingenious interplay of rhythm and melody, and even in score format, passages with challenging entry timings frequently occur. It is important to grasp the movements of the part one is not playing and to listen carefully to the partner's sound. The joy of music flowing smoothly when performers are in sync is great, and it will serve as a valuable ensemble experience. It is suitable for a wide range of uses, including lessons, recitals, competitions, and salon concerts.
Each piece is dedicated to one person. The dedicatees, in order from the first piece, are:
- Méryl Bosc
- Madame Marguerite Canon
- Madame Ginette Gaubert
- Thévy Hor
- Christiane Valmont-Schoebel
- Jean Sichler
