The only published one-hand piano piece by Migot (though other unpublished one-hand works exist). It was composed between March and April 1941 in Les Pivotières (Fondettes, Loire region).
During World War II, Migot remained there, continuing his prolific creative work alongside his teaching position at the Poitiers Conservatory. Like his 1939 piano piece Le Livre d'Anne-Marie, this work is also dedicated to Marcelle Pineau
In addition, following Migot's custom, individual dedications are also set for each movement, separate from Pineau. As the title "in the form of a suite" suggests, the work constructs its own sophisticated polyphonic music for the right hand alone, with Baroque suites in mind. The first movement (Allant et décidé 4/4, for Nicole de Romeuf) has an epic and undulating narrative. The second movement (Andante et chantant 6/8, for France Chiron) features intertwining melodies. The third movement (Allègre et légèrement 3/4, for Yvette Barot) is minuet-like. The fourth movement (Lentement, avec émotion 4/4, for Marie-Thérèse Lacôte) possesses a solemnity reminiscent of a subdued string ensemble. The fifth movement, titled "Final" (Décidé et rythmé 2/4 [or 1/2], for Suzanne Parnaudeau), is full of dynamism and develops technically. Overall, the difficulty is high. The presence of the composer's own fingerings at key points will be a great help. It is noteworthy as a serious repertoire piece for one-hand piano music.
