The opening triplet figure possesses a brilliance reminiscent of twinkling stars, and it is important to make the high notes in the right hand resonate brightly.
The chords change gradually and chromatically, creating an impression of shifting colors. From measure 11, the piece takes on a waltz-like flow; while the left hand maintains its chromatic harmonic movement, the right hand gains a sense of dynamism. It would be beneficial to perform with an awareness of the movement and dotted rhythms.
From measure 19, the melody becomes double notes, increasing the density of the sound. And as it approaches the forte at measure 27, an enrichment of the sound's fullness is required. From measure 31, both hands create a rapid flow of triplets, and when played in the high register, this once again evokes an expression reminiscent of the brilliance of stars.
In this piece, it is crucial to differentiate between a refined, crystalline timbre and a rich, weighty resonance. By paying close attention to subtle nuances and expressing a beauty akin to the brilliance of stars, one can bring out the fantastical charm inherent in the work.
