Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1978. She studied cello with Václav Adamíra and piano with Masako Nakajima in Japan, and cello with Daniel Veis in the Czech Republic. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees after studying piano with Betty Woo at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the American String Teachers Association. In 2012, she served as a judge for the Valeria Fenzi Scholarship Awards for young harpists. In 2013, she began her composing career after being commissioned to write music for the short film "Love ~Japan," subsequently releasing her original CDs "Summer Wind" and "Snow Magic." In 2014, she published "Snow Magic," a collection of practice pieces for students, compiling works she composed and dedicated to her students annually as Christmas presents.
Currently, she presides over the music school Studio Ensemble in Orange County, California, and in addition to her performance and composition activities, she is dedicated to mentoring younger generations.
