Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1949. In 1971, he graduated from the Composition Department of the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, studying under Mr. Minosuke Matsumoto.
After serving as a commissioned lecturer at Kyoiku Geijutsusha, an educational staff member at Victor Music School Headquarters, and a lecturer at Nagoya University of Arts, he held positions such as Assistant Professor at Shobi Gakuen Junior College from 1988, and Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Information, Shobi University, among others, retiring in 2014. He is a member of the Japan Federation of Composers.
His major piano works include "Seven Bagatelles for Piano."
