After graduating from the Composition Department of Tokyo College of Music, they completed the Musicology Research Area in the same university's graduate school (research theme: Miles Davis). They have studied composition under Shin-ichiro Ikebe and others. Currently, they serve as a part-time lecturer at Wayo Women's University, an advisor/TA for information subjects at Tokyo College of Music's ACT Project, a presenter (radio DJ) for internet radio OTTAVA, and a secretariat for the general incorporated association Music Dialogue. Furthermore, as a freelance music writer, they are widely active, primarily in classical and jazz, through music commentary and interview coverage. Private lessons in music theory, musical analysis, and composition/arrangement are always available.
