Profile
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Shobi Gakuen Junior College, Piano Department, in 1989. Graduated at the top of his class from Kunitachi College of Music, Composition Department, in 1994 (recipient of the Arima Prize). Studied in the Graduate School of Music, Composition Department, Seoul National University from 1995 to 1998, and after returning to Japan, submitted a master's thesis on his own compositions, completing his studies in 2001. Studied composition under Thomas Meyer-Fiebig, Tetsuya Omura, and Sukhi Kang.
Awarded 3rd prize at the 1st Tokyo International Chamber Music Composition Competition, the 13th JFC Composition Award for New Composers, and selected for the '97 Daejeon Contemporary Music Festival (Korea).

His works have also been performed at the Pan Music Festival, 2nd Arts Festival Dimension, Asia Music Festival, and others.
Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the School of Media Science, Tokyo University of Technology, and a member of the Japan Federation of Composers.
