Born in Yokohama in 1951.
He studied musical instrument acoustics in the doctoral program at Waseda University Graduate School and majored in pipe organ at Ochanomizu Christian Music Academy.
He studied composition under the late Hiroshi Hara, the late Goro Sumi, and Toshiaki Komori.
His work "What is Eternal is Merely an Image" was a finalist at the 11th Tokyo International Chamber Music Composition Competition.
He composed the school song for Yokohama Municipal Kamiterao Elementary School, among other works.
His piano piece "Yuko's Waltz" was performed by Yuko Yagishita in Poland and received critical acclaim.
