Achievements and Recognition
Graduated at the top of her class from Tokyo University of the Arts, receiving the Acanthus Music Award. She garnered significant attention by winning the 1st IBLA Grand Award Japan unanimously by the jury, and her dialogue with Mrs. Dewi Sukarno, who served as the jury chair, was featured in the string instrument magazine Sarasate. She is scheduled to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York and at music festivals held in Sicily, Italy.
Education
Born in Nagoya City. She began her violin studies under Katsumi Miyajima using the Suzuki Method. Subsequently, she studied under Eriko Ichikawa at Nagoya Music School, and after attending Nanzan High School, she entered Tokyo University of the Arts. During her time at the university, she was repeatedly selected as a soloist, performing with the Geidai Philharmonia under the baton of Kazuki Sawa at the Morning Concert, Douglas Bostock at the New Graduate Introduction Concert, and Ken Takaseki at the Open Campus Dream Concert.
Mentorship and Further Studies
She has studied with Takashi Shimizu, Edward Schmieder, Pierre Amoyal, Esther Perényi, and Yang Song-sik. She studied chamber music with Katsuya Matsubara, Takako Yamazaki, Toshihiko Ichitsubo, and Susumu Aoyagi. She studied abroad at Temple University in the United States as a full scholarship recipient. She performed with the Temple Symphony Orchestra under the baton of David Hayes. After returning to Japan, she graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts.
Awards and Current Activities
She was a prizewinner at the Music Competition of Japan, a semi-finalist at the Bartók International Violin Competition, and has received numerous other awards. In 2014, she was selected for the Yamaha Music Foundation's Music Activity Support Program. In 2019 and 2021, she performed at the Los Angeles I Palpiti International Music Festival. While actively performing as a soloist and chamber musician, she also conducts outreach activities at elementary and junior high schools, dispatched by the Japan Foundation for Regional Art-Activities. Currently, she serves as a COI Advisor at Tokyo University of the Arts and as a Contract Performer at the Musashino Academia Musicae Graduate School.
