Composer, arranger, and pianist. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed graduate studies at the same institution. In the fields of orchestral music, chamber music, piano music, lieder, and sound performance, received numerous awards and selections, including the Japan Symphony Foundation Composition Award, Tokyo International Chamber Music Composition Competition, Tokyo International Lieder Composition Competition, AAC Sound Performance Dojo, and EXPERIMENTAL SOUND, ART & PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL, among others. Also received numerous selections in piano auditions. Held a duo exhibition (organized by the International Artists League) in 2004 and a solo exhibition (organized by Tokyo Wonder Site) in 2010.
While maintaining an awareness of art, theater, dance, architecture, and the broader spectrum of arts and philosophy, engages in composition across contemporary, classical, and pop music genres; production of sound performance works; music provision for film, stage, and performance art productions; arrangement; piano performance (including self-composed works and improvisation); and melodica performance. Additionally, collaborates with artists from diverse fields such as art, dance, literature, and theater; provides education; conducts music analysis; plans and manages performances; writes; and gives lectures.
Works have been performed both domestically and internationally. Scores have been published (JFC, Irene), CDs recorded (JFC, JILA), and works broadcast (Kawasaki FM, etc.). They have also been critically reviewed in magazines (Ongaku no Tomo, Ongaku Gendai, etc.) and featured in newspapers (Mainichi Shimbun, Kanagawa Shimbun, etc.). Furthermore, supervised a program for Science Channel in 2011.
Served as a part-time lecturer at Toho Gakuen School of Music until March 2013. Currently, a member of the Japan Federation of Composers (JFC) and an executive board member of the Kanagawa Branch of the Tokyo University of the Arts Faculty of Music Alumni Association.
