Born in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture in 1975. He graduated from the Department of Music, Faculty of Education, Yamanashi University, and completed his studies at the Graduate School of Education at the same university.
While enrolled in graduate school, his work was selected for the "Exhibition of Contemporary Music" ('01). Subsequently, he has received the following awards and recognitions:
- PTNA Piano Competition New Work Composition Award ('04, '05, '08)
- CCMC (Contemporary Computer Music Concert) Open Call Selection ('05)
- TIAA All Japan Composers Competition Special Jury Prize ('10)
- Tokyo International Chamber Music Composition Competition Selection ('10)
- Sogakudo Japanese Song Competition, Composition Division (Yoshinao Nakata Award) Selection ('11)
- Japan Song Promotion Society Japanese Song Competition, Composition Division, Excellence Award ('11)
- 21st Century Wind Orchestra 15th "Kyoen" Open Call Selection ('11)
He studied composition under Yoshifumi Fujiwara. He received instruction in electroacoustic music from Kazuko Narita and Taro Yoshihara.
Currently, he is a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Education and Human Sciences, Yamanashi University. He is also a member of:
